My weekend

yesterday, I walked from my house down to the hairdressers, normally I would drive everywhere, it was really nice, got to look at people's gardens, smell the flowers etc. This was a new hairdresser to me, so I was quite excited and apprehensive at the same time. I needn't have been, Russell was brilliant, he made me feel very at ease, and my hair looks wonderful. great colour too.

then today, had planned to go for a run around Burrator Reservoir, woke up to a fine drizzle of rain, which did get heavier, but we still sent, approx 4 miles later we had finished, I have to be honest and say I didn't run every step, there was a bit of walking too, but most of it was run, so....woooohooo, just the boost I needed before next weeks Race for Life. Hope to get a practice in around the Hoe one night later in the week.

now for some housework and ironing, before I sit down and watch a bit of telly for the evening.

Good morning Tuesday world

Well what a few days its been, lovely BBQ with a friend, a Fb Message was answered by an idiot and my friends jumped to my defence, (thanks guys), on Sunday we had a blocked drain problem, now sorted and yesterday I was going to Bristol, went into local sainsburys garage, and as I was standing there thinking I can smell burning, i noticed a van by the air/water station had his bonnet and flames were shooting out, no panic the staff dealt with it in a very professional manner.

I did get to Bristol, had a very constructive and interesting day, didn't get home until late, and it started raining about 5 mins from home.

This morning it's yucky, wet and misty. Typical summer weather.

I made little inspirational books for our Race for Life team, really hope you like them girls.

Thanks to Tracy, Jules and Nova for joining in, only two weeks to go until the race , we know that Nova can't make it now due to work commitments, but I think we are going to do it with her at another time.... And that Sam will take her place on the actual day.

Relaxing weekend

It's going to be a relaxing weekend, Gary is playing golf both days, after being on nights, so will be sleeping from about 2 until early evening. So I'm going to have a sitting out with my kindle, book and iPad (candy crush).....

Last night the No Direction Girls and I went running as usual, despite my knee problems, I managed to run a lot more. Only two more weeks until Race for Life.. Go Girls

After the run we popped into The George for some Cheesy Roasties.....mmmm, above picture shows me and Jules after they had just arrived.. We had so much fun, so much laughter, especially after Jules parents arrived.

Going to have a BBQ tonight, so a spot of shopping shortly for some food...

What a week

Last week was very tough what with one thing and another, and I have tried to recharge my batteries this weekend, spending last night with my friend Nova, who provided a wonderful meal, whilst we watched the Eurovision Song Contest. Today managed to have a bit of a lay in, then popped out to the Range, not that we actually wanted anything, but still managed to buy a few bits.

Nova and her chickens, Cagney and Lacey

I am hopeful that this week might be a bit better, got to see the Physio about my knee, as its really giving me problems at times, running is difficult too. So Elaine is not a happy bunny.

This was me and nova after having a little walk in the sunshine, on the Embankment, no running !

Need to crack on with tidying my bedrooms, sorting my office and craft area, have made a good start on this now, but got much more to do. I will try and take some pictures to show you.

Have a great week everyone xx

Such fun

Morning bloggers

This past few weeks have seen me get more involved with the running club, as in there has been several races and me and a few friends, have been the 'Cheering Squad' going out there, standing in the side of the roads, cheering the runners as they go by, it has been so much fun, banners and megaphones at the ready.

This is a picture of Jules at the Ivybridge 10k. 'Ole, Ole, Ole' has taken on a whole new meaning for all of us.

Caroline Williams has now bought 'clown horns' you now the ones, Honk, Honk, so next time should be even more fun, you should see the faces of the runners, priceless !! Despite the hard work of running and struggling towards the finish, our encouragement really cheers them up. We not only cheer on the Plymouth Musketeers, we call out names from the shirts, or their teams.

please bear this in mind, for when we (Jules, Nova, Tracy and myself) do the Plymouth Race for Life middle of June, come out and support us as well.
